About the camera
The underwater camera at Köpingemölla films the fish passing by, and an AI model identifies species and direction for each clip.
About the figures
Every fish passing is counted with its direction, up or down. Net is up minus down.
Species and direction are identified by an AI model when the clip arrives, and no person has reviewed the figures yet. Some fish may get the wrong species, and the same fish can pass several times. Reviewed results are confirmed in a report after the season.
“This year” counts from 1 January 2026.
Flow and water temperature are SMHI's modelled values for the river (Vattenwebb, S-HYPE), not measurements at the counter.
